Product overview

YT-1521 high-performance neoprene synthetic rubber universal adhesive (TB1521 industrial grade replacement solution)

YT-1521 is a one-component industrial-grade universal adhesive developed with chloroprene synthetic rubber and phenolic resin as the main components. Its core parameters, bonding performance and construction characteristics are comparable to imported ThreeBond 1521.

This product combines extremely strong initial grip with long-lasting elastic cushioning properties after curing.can firmly bond a variety of materials ranging from soft and porous rubber, leather, and canvas to hard and dense metals, engineering plastics, etc.No heating or mixing required, ready to use right out of the can, is an ideal choice to reduce production line material costs and achieve stable substitution.

Core features and technical advantages

  • Strong initial adhesion and high elasticity after curing: Fitting allows quick positioning, the film will not become brittle and harden after complete curing, and has excellent vibration resistance, impact resistance and fatigue resistance.

  • Broad spectrum material adaptation: Excellent bonding strength for metal (iron/aluminum/copper), rubber (NBR/CR/natural rubber), engineering plastics (PVC/PC/epoxy board) and porous water-absorbent materials (wood/leather/canvas).

  • Excellent temperature and weather resistance: Reliable shear strength can be maintained in extremely low to high temperature environments of -40°C, and has good water resistance, weak alkali resistance, engine oil resistance and anti-aging properties.

  • Single component, easy to operate: No need to add curing agent, no need to heat, can be applied by brushing, rolling or scraping, significantly shortening the assembly cycle.

Typical application materials

  • Metal: Iron, aluminum, duralumin, brass, copper and other metal components stick to each other or are compounded with other materials.

  • Rubber: Natural rubber, NBR nitrile rubber, SBR styrene-butadiene rubber, neoprene (Neoprene), Hypalon, etc.

  • Plastics and Engineering Materials: Soft/rigid PVC film and sheet, polycarbonate (PC), epoxy fiberglass board, phenolic resin board, acrylic resin, styrene resin, etc.

  • Inorganic and natural materials: Wood, plywood, leather, cotton canvas, cardboard, ceramics, concrete, stone, glass, etc.(Note: Polyethylene PE, polypropylene PP, fluororesin, silicone and other difficult-to-stick substrates are excluded.).

Construction User Guide

  1. Surface preparation: Thoroughly remove oil, moisture, rust, release agent and dust from the surface of the adherend. It is recommended to properly polish and degrease the metal surface, and polish and roughen the vulcanized rubber surface.

  2. Apply adhesive evenly: Use a brush, scraper or roller to apply Both sides to be bonded Even coating.

    • Coating amount reference: about 100~200 g/m² for dense non-porous surfaces (about 1~2g per 100cm²); about 300~400 g/m² for absorbent porous surfaces (it is recommended to apply 2 times for absorbent substrates such as canvas).

  3. Hanging stickers (opening hours): Leave at room temperature 5-10 minutes, when the solvent has evaporated appropriately and the film is slightly tacky to the touch but not sticky, align the two sides accurately and fit them together.

  4. Pressure to cure: After applying, use your fingers, rubber mallet or roller to fully press and compact to eliminate air.It takes about 10 hours for porous materials to reach practical strength, and more than 24 hours for dense materials such as metal to reach full strength.(Special process description: If the production line cannot control the drying time, the adhesive can be completely dried, and then the "reactivation method" hot press lamination can be performed using solvent or slight heat before lamination.).

Storage and safety precautions

  • Flammable warning: Contains volatile solvents. Fireworks are strictly prohibited in the operating area and good ventilation and ventilation conditions must be maintained.

  • Store airtight: After use, be sure to seal it tightly to prevent solvent evaporation and skin formation, and store it in a dry, cool place.

  • Dilution recommendations: If you need to adjust the viscosity, please use special diluent. It is strictly forbidden to add incompatible solvents at will.
