Product Summary
ThreeBond 1102 is a high-viscosity, yellow, non-drying (non-drying) liquid gasket sealant. It can fully fill the tiny unevenness and defects on the joint surface, thereby achieving excellent airtight and watertight effects.And has excellent resistance to engine oil. Since the liquid viscoelastic state remains non-drying after coating, the joint parts can be easily disassembled and cleaned during subsequent maintenance。
Core Features
Non-drying strong adhesion: A thin film is formed after coating, which can prevent media leakage on the metal joint surface without additional adhesive。
Anti-thread leakage: It also has excellent sealing and prevention effect on the gap leakage of various threaded fasteners.
Easy to disassemble: No hard skin will form after curing, the base material will not be damaged when disassembling the flange and joint surface, and the residual glue is easy to remove。
Simple process: After coating, you only need to wait for 2 to 4 minutes for the solvent to evaporate to complete the joint fastening.

Chemical resistance (weight change rate)
Tested according to JIS-K-6820 specifications (glue-coated test pieces are tested after baking at 100±5°C for 3 hours):
Water resistance (water temperature 90~95°C Loop soaking): The weight change rate is only +1.0%
Oil resistance (No. 2 rubber lubricant, soaked at 95~100°C for 24 hours): Weight change rate is only +3.4%
Gasoline resistance (No. 1 automotive gasoline, 45~50°C soaked for 24 hours): The weight change rate is only +0.2%
Pressure performance test (flange fastening condition)
Test conditions: flange plate with outer diameter 90mm, inner diameter 60mm, width 15mm, W1/2 bolt tightening (surface pressure 160 kg/cm²), test medium is No. 1 turbine oil:
Normal temperature and pressure resistance:95 kg/cm²
Withstand pressure at 80°C:75 kg/cm²
Voltage resistance at 150°C:60 kg/cm²
Withstand pressure after hot and cold cycles (-40±5°C for 2 hours to Bake at 100±5°C for 3 hours): 75 kg/cm²
Usage and coating process
Substrate cleaning: Before gluing, be sure to thoroughly remove grease, moisture, old gasket residue and dust from the joint surface and threads。
Stir well: The product may stratify and settle if left standing for a long time. Please stir thoroughly before use.
Sizing coating: You can use a brush, oil can or a special ThreeBond Flow Gun to evenly apply it on the flange joint surface or thread engagement area。
Fitting and assembly: Leave to stand after coating 2~4 minutes, then fit the joint surface and tighten the bolts to the standard torque.
Use and Storage Precautions
This product is flammable before drying and curing. Fireworks are strictly prohibited at the work site and keep away from fire sources.
Contains organic solvents (toluene, MEK), good ventilation must be maintained when using in large quantities or for a long time, and protective masks, impermeable gloves and protective glasses must be worn as needed.
Avoid inhaling vapor or ingestion; keep out of reach of children.
Be sure to seal the jar lid after use to isolate air; do not pour unused glue back into the original container after dispensing。
Storage conditions: Store in a dry and cool place at 5~35°C, away from light.
Shelf life: 24 months (UN package is 12 months).
