Product Overview
ThreeBond 1184 is a semi-dry liquid gasket (sealant) based on special synthetic rubber.. After the coating dries, it solidifies to form an extremely elastic, rubbery elastomer.. Due to its excellent fillability (fillability), it can exert an excellent sealing effect even on flange surfaces with poor processing accuracy, low flatness, or large joint gaps.. At the same time, the product has excellent oil resistance, gasoline resistance, water resistance and resistance to alternating hot and cold properties, and is widely used in joint surface sealing of automobiles, motorcycles, agricultural machinery and various industrial machinery.。

Excellent gap filling (flesh holding capacity):Specially designed for large gap joint surfaces, it is not only suitable for precision and flat bonding surfaces, but also has strong sealing and pressure resistance on rough or large gap flange surfaces.。

Excellent chemical resistance:It shows extremely low mass change rate for engine oil, lubricating oil, gear oil, gasoline, fuel oil, antifreeze (coolant) and weak acids and weak alkali, and the seal is durable and reliable.。
Leak protection and thread sealing:Coated on screws and thread mating parts, it can effectively prevent liquid from leaking along the thread gaps, and has both sealing and anti-loosening auxiliary effects.。
No corrosion to metal:After the copper plate corrosion test, there is no obvious discoloration or corrosion phenomenon. It is suitable for all types of alloy and metal joint surfaces.。

Typical application areas

Construction methods and usage suggestions
Surface preparation:Before construction, thoroughly remove the residual glue, moisture, oil, rust and dust from the old gasket on the joint surface, and keep the surface clean and dry.。
Stir well:This product contains fillers, pleaseBe sure to mix thoroughly。
Even coating:Apply a thin layer as evenly and continuously as possible along the flange closing line to avoid missing coatings。
Close fit:After coating, it is recommended to1 ~ 4 minutes(Before surface drying) Complete the joint surface alignment and tighten the bolts。
Notice:This product is an industrial-grade special sealing material. It is not suitable for tap water piping or hot water domestic pipes, nor can it be used for electrical conductive contact points.. The construction site must be well ventilated and open flames are strictly prohibited。
