Product Summary

ThreeBond 1530 (ThreeBond 1530) is a one-component elastic adhesive mainly composed of polymers containing silyl functional groups.The adhesive reacts with trace amounts of moisture in the air to undergo cross-linking and solidification. Its biggest feature is that it can form extremely strong initial adhesion in about 7 minutes after gluing (under 23°C, 50% RH working conditions), and the workpiece can be quickly positioned without temporary fixing fixtures after fitting

This product can be used as an environmentally friendly upgraded substitute for RTV silicone rubber (sealant, potting glue). During the curing processDoes not produce low molecular weight cyclic siloxane (D4~D10),Therefore, there will be no silicon poisoning or poor contact failure in electronic and electrical contacts.

  • Tensile shear strength (unit: MPa)

    • Metals: aluminum plate 6.6 (cohesive failure), steel plate 5.4 (cohesive failure), stainless steel 4.4 (cohesive failure), brass 4.5 (cohesive failure)

    • Engineering plastics and composite materials: polycarbonate PC 5.6, modified polyphenylene ether PPO 5.0, nylon 66 5.1, CFRP polyester composite board 4.8, acrylic 4.7, rigid PVC 3.3, ABS 2.9 (most of the above show cohesive failure); polystyrene PS 3.5, PET 2.1, PPS 1.5, PBT 1.4.

Deep cure speed and environmental resistance and reliability

  • Deep curing ability: in Under the conditions of 23°C and 50% RH, the curing depth is about 1.6 mm in 1 day, 2.5 mm in 3 days, 3.6 mm in 7 days, and deep curing of nearly 5 mm in 14 days

  • Temperature resistance properties: The steel plate shear force reaches more than 14 MPa at a low temperature of -40°C; normal temperature 23°C is 5.8 MPa; Even at high temperature aging of 80°C, 120°C and 150°C After 28 days, the shear strength can still be maintained stably at the level of 2 to 7 MPa

  • Heat and cold shock resistance: After 500 hot and cold cycles at -40°C (1h) and 120°C (1h), the shear strength of the steel plate still remains at 6.5 MPa Above

  • Double 85 heat and humidity resistance: After continuous aging for 28 days in a harsh heat and humidity environment of 85°C, 85% RH, the bonding strength increased steadily and remained above 6 MPa

Usage and process guidance

  1. Surface pretreatment: Remove rust, grease and dust from the joint surface (it is recommended to degrease and clean metal with xylene or solvent; wipe plastic with alcohol; rubber can be cleaned after polishing with sandpaper).

  2. Gluing and Open Time:

    • Double-sided gluing process: Apply a thin layer on both sides and keep it open for 5 to 10 minutes before lamination. At this time, the best initial shear force and peeling force can be obtained. It has strong cohesion and initial adhesion within 7 to 20 minutes after lamination, and does not require external fixtures. If left for more than 20 minutes and the glue surface hardens, you need to remove the glue and recoat

    • Single-sided gluing process: It takes about 5 minutes after gluing to reach the initial tack, 1 to 2 After an hour, the workpiece can enter the handling or light processing process, and it will take more than 24 hours for complete curing

Safety, storage and packaging specifications

  • Operational safety: Keep out of reach of children; avoid inhaling steam or direct contact with skin and eyes before the glue solidifies; please provide appropriate ventilation facilities in the workplace

  • Storage conditions: Avoid high temperature, high humidity and direct sunlight, sealed and stored in 10°C ~ 25°C Dry, cool and dark place.
